Interdisciplinary social scientist and development practitioner, working with homeless communities and social innovation. Starting PhD at King’s Business School, London.
I am currently engaging in action research with homeless communities in Mumbai and have developed and cultivated a deep understanding of people-centered social development, marginality, and transformative social innovation through my work and studies at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS). As a graduate with a Master's in Social Work (Community Organisation and Development Practice) from the prestigious Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, my studies and on-field experiences have taught me to create positive social change by centering people's voices.
My research and fieldwork have extensively focused on intersectional inequities, educational access, entrepreneurship and community mobilisation, employing a wide range of qualitative and mixed research methods, including innovative participatory approaches to understand and co-create 'knowledges' based on the lived experiences of individuals, groups, and communities. Grounded in post-development theory and the concept of 'ecologies of knowledges', my academic work emphasises collective agency and the power-with of marginalised actor networks, particularly in the context of entrepreneurship, social innovation and transformative social change.
