Associate Professor of Theology and International Studies at Tokyo Christian University, Japan.
Prof. Tetsuya Morita is Associate Professor of Theology and International Studies at Tokyo Christian University, Japan. His research focuses on faith-based social enterprises, hybrid organizations, and institutional complexity, particularly within the contexts of Sub-Saharan Africa and East Asia. His doctoral work examined how faith-based low-fee private schools in Ethiopia navigate competing logics of religious mission, financial sustainability, and regulatory compliance, using a critical realist and institutional logics framework. He is currently engaged in comparative research on Christian organizational responses to development and governance challenges, and is active in curriculum development that integrates theology, organizational theory, and social innovation.
