César Sánchez Álvarez is an Assistant Profesor at the University of Zaragoza, Department of Psychology and Sociology. His topics expertice are related to Social Economy and Public Policy, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods, Poverty and Development Studies, Conflict and Socioeconomic Development, Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
He received his PhD and M.A from the University of Valencia (Spain) in Social Economy and Development Cooperation respectively. Also, he received a degree in Economy and Management of Cooperatives Enterprises and Non-Profit Organization from the University of Bologna (Italy) and previously, a degree in Social Work from UCLM (Spain).
Dr Sánchez Álvarez’s current work focuses on the application of social and solidarity economy to rural and urban development policies, social innovation and communitarian entrepreneurship in fragile ecosystems. He often examines these fields by implementing qualitative and quantitative research. His research agenda aims to produce evidence for public policy decisions and local participation.
