  Francisco J. Santos, PhD., is an associate professor of applied economics in the departament of Applied Economics I at the University of Seville (Spain). He is currently the head of this department and has been Vicedean of Institutional Relationships of the Faculty of Economics at University of Seville from 2010 to 2015. He received his doctorate from University of Seville in Economics, specifically in the specialization of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. He has been visiting research in Northwestern University (Illinois, USA) and in Bedfordshire University (Bedforshire, UK). He has also been visiting professor in Antonio de Nebrija University (Madrid, Spain), Universidad Complutense (Madrid, Spain), Universidad de Huelva (Huelva, Spain), Universidad de Málaga (Málaga, Spain) and Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (La Rabida, Spain). His recents contributions has been published in Small Business Economics, Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics, Journal of Small Business Management, Revista de Economía Mundial, International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, Regional Studies and Entrepreneurship and Regional Development among others.
