Personal Information

After finishing her degree in Economics at the University of Seville, Carmen Guzmán studied an MBA in Paris. Afterward, she got a grant from the regional government (FPDI) over four years to work on her PhD about Social Economy  in the University of Huelva. Once she became a doctor, she held a postdoctoral position for one more year in the same university and then she started as a temporary lecturer in the University of Seville, where she got a post as assistant professor some months later (her current position).

Her research interest include social economy and social entrepreneurship. She has different publications on these topics and has been a visiting researcher in the Social Economy Center of the University of Liege (Sept. 2012-Jan. 2013) and in the University of Westminster (July-Aug. 2015). She has participated in many national projects related to entrepreneurship and in different international research projects related to social entreprises, such as  “International Comparative Social Enterprise Models” (ICSEM) Project” and the current “COST Empowering the next generation of social enterprise scholars”.
