Simone Poledrini – PhD, Department of Economics and Business, University of Perugia (Italy) – is an Assistant Professor of Management of Innovation at the University of Perugia. In 2003 he held an B.A. degree in Economics and Business from the University of Perugia. In 2006 he received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) at SPRU (University of Sussex – UK). Furthermore, he held his PhD at the University of Perugia (2008). He was awarded the second prize for his paper at the 4th PRIME PhD Conference at IKU Center in Budapest (2007). Simone’s main research interest is about Nonprofit. Specifically his studies include (a) the different typologies of Social Enterprise with particular focus on Italian Social Cooperatives (b) the Theory of Reciprocity linked to the nonprofit sector (c) the relationships between nonprofit and for-profit organizations. Simone has published an article in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly (NVSQ), the first ranked journal in the nonprofit field. He has also authored some book chapters on nonprofit and social enterprise. He is the author of the book in Italian ?Nonprofit Firms. Results of the IN.NE.S.T.I. (Integration into society via Enterprise) Research Project?, Milan, Franco Angeli (2010).
